North Country Fair
For nearly 40 years the North Country Fair (NCF) has celebrated the summer solstice in Northern Alberta.
| About: | It is an annual three day event with camping, vendors, musicians, and performers from across the globe. |
| Work: | Recently, North Country Fair went through an energy transformation. In the summer of 2015, the NCF association had SURFACE design and install a large grid-tied solar PV system. |
| Result: | This system, over the course of a year produces as much (or more) power than the fair requires and feeds the excess power back to the grid, resulting in the North Country Fair being electrically net-zero. |
